Sunday School

St. Margaret's Sunday School is a small, all-in-one (one room, all ages) church Sunday school program.

Our children (ages 3 and up) meet every Sunday, during the 10am service at St. Margaret's Church, Buxted Park. After a short children's talk with the rector, the children are dismissed from the service and we relocate to our Sunday School area in the Belfry.

For children younger than 3 years or shy children, parents are welcome to join us. Just be prepared for a bit of chaos and lots of fun!  We start with a fun introduction, to get to know one another for any newcomers, followed by a prayer, a story and then a craft session and games.

The Sunday school's DBS-checked volunteers offer Christ-centered teaching through a variety of curricula, prayers, games, and crafts (we provide all necessary materials).  As well, the children are encouraged to get to know one another, as a way to foster Christian friendships. We hope to immerse children in scripture, teach children about self-reflection and to think about others during prayer, teach them to worship and love God, and encourage and support families in their faith.

Tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.

- Psalm 78:4
